Crooning Charisma of Brigitte Calls Me Baby - May 12, 2026

Philadelphia’s Foundry at The Fillmore welcomed a sold-out crowd for a night that already felt too immense for the room. The audience was surprisingly diverse, with plenty of older fans mixed in alongside younger indie rock fans, all there to catch two rising bands that are undoubtedly building serious momentum.
The New York City band SKORTS opened with a tight five-song set full of energy, balancing gritty DIY rock chaos with moodier moments. Their chemistry onstage stood out instantly, giving the short opening slot a much bigger presence than expected.
Headliners Brigitte Calls Me Baby carried a vastly different atmosphere, bringing weighty rock ballads and edgy 80s riffs while still feeling fresh and modern. Frontman Wes Leavins carried the set with huge vocals and natural charisma, crooning one minute and belting the next. The band’s easy banter with the crowd only made Philly love them more. For a band that has only existed since 2022, Brigitte Calls Me Baby already feels destined for much bigger rooms.
The cinematic energy of the songs and their command of the stage deserve a much bigger production. With their second album Irreversible already under their belt, it’s easy to imagine them returning to Philadelphia soon and skipping The Foundry entirely for the main Fillmore stage.
With their nearly sold-out tour coming to a close later this month, you don’t want to miss the chance to see them. The remaining dates are listed below, and check out HERE for more info!
